When operation shifts to inverse conversion operation from forward conversion operation, the thyristor bridge is worked as a power inverter, the forced commutation circuit is controlled and energy is regenerated to the power supply. When inverese conversion operation, the thyristors are worked as power inverters, gate signals are forwarded to the thyristors T1, T4, T5, the gate signals of the thyristors T2, T3, T6 are stopped, and the forced commutation circuit is synchronized with the AC power supply and switched.
