CONSTITUTION: Upon rendering a transistor 12 into a conductive state, a current flows through a DC motor 15 which is a load through a saturable reactor 28 and a reactor 14, and the voltage of a source 11 is retained only by a product of voltage and time determined by the characteristic of the saturable reactor 28, and the saturable reactor is in saturated state, that is, in set state. Upon rendering the transistor 12 into a non-conductive state, the saturable reactor 28 is excited in the inverse direction by a current flowing through diode 13 by the storage energy of the reactor 14 and DC motor 15, and is in saturated state, that is, in reset state. By repeating such operations, the source short ciucuit current generated by the storage carrier of a feedback diode can be fully suppressed, and at the same time the switching loss can be reduced
