CONSTITUTION: A molded article composed of a cellulosci plastic such as cellulose acetate or cellulose acetate butyrate, is immersed in water at 10°C or higher to soften the surface thereof by water abosrption. Then the molded article is saponified by treating it in a warm aq. alkaline soln. such as an aq. soln. of NaOH at 10W 70°C by a conventional method to obtain an anti-fogging plastic molded article. Water used for the above water absorption softening stage may contain further a surfactant, a water-soluble inorg. salt such as NaCl and/or a water-soluble plasticizer such as ethanol.
