2 to form tobermolite (5CaO.6SiO
2 .5H
2 O), which is filtered. To the filtrate are added about 1.5 mols of lime and about 1.5 mols of gypsum to 1 mol of NaAlO
2 in the filtrate, and they are reacted at ordinary temp. W90°C for above 5 hr. By this method tobermolite useful for building materials can be synthesized and extracted in the middle of the processes.
