PURPOSE:To produce a calcium silicate molded product containing fibrous potassium titanate in the form of agglomerates with fibrous calcium silicate hydrate and having a light weight, a high strength and a high heat-insulating property. CONSTITUTION:A raw material slurry comprising a siliceous raw material such as silica powder, a calcareous raw material such as quick lime and water is mixed with 5-40wt.% of fibrous quick potassium titanate having a fiber length of 10-50mum and a fiber diameter (thickness) of 0.2-1.5mum. The mixture is heated with stirring under a high pressure to form the mixed agglomerates of the fibrous potassium titanate with fibrous calcium silicate hydrate. The product is molded and dried at approximately 105 deg.C for approximately 24hrs to produce the calcium silicate molded product. |

PURPOSE:To obtain aq. slurry for producing calcium silicate molded article having excellent mechanical strength, by compounding calcium silicate hydrate with fiber reinforcement, water-soluble thermosetting cation resin and high polymer latex. CONSTITUTION:The aq. slurry of calcium silicate hydrate is obtd. by dispersing lime material such as quick lime and siliceous material such as silica in water and by heating in satd. steam to react. The aq. slurry is compounded with the fiber reinforcement such as glass fiber, water-soluble thermosetting cation resin such as polyamide-polyamine-epichlorohydrin resin and high polymer latex such as rubber latex, and further, as occasion demands, water-soluble aluminum salt such as aluminum sulfate. The obtd. aq. slurry is dehydrated by pressure filtration, etc., press formed and dried by heating. Thereby, the light and incombustible calcium silicate molded form improved its mechanical strength such as compressive strength, bending strength, etc., is obtd. |
