A rotating circular aerofoil system that includes a disc body that has an aerofoil shape in cross section. The air foil shape has an angle of attack that is symmetrical. The disc body's includes a circular inner edge which forms a circular center opening and the disc body's leading edge. The disc body also includes an outer edge that forms the trailing edge. Intersecting ribs extend across the center opening and include a shaft opening that attaches to a rotating shaft. Formed on the top and bottom surfaces of the disc body are evenly spaced apart, extending T-shaped or L-shaped fins. In one embodiment, an air blower or impeller is attached to a hollow shaft linked to an air pump. When the air pump is activated, air is delivered to the air blower and impeller that distributes the air over the top surface of the disc body to improve lift.

When a rotating shaft is inserted into the shaft opening and imparts sufficient rotation to the disc body, the fins contact the air forcing it to flow along disc body's top and bottom surfaces and creating a lifting force.
3 Wind turbine with variable position blades US205604 1998-12-04 US6158953A 2000-12-12 John S Lamont
A wind turbine has an internal rotor carrying a plurality of turbine vanes in a circular path between an inlet opening and an exhaust opening. The inlet opening includes a stationary dividing vane that delivers one portion of the inlet airflow to a primary flowpath traversing the turbine vanes at two locations. The stationary dividing vane also delivers a second portion of the inlet airflow to a second flowpath which drives the turbine vanes as those vanes move in the part of the circular path from the exhaust opening toward the inlet opening. The turbine vanes may be mounted so as to have variable angular positions in different portions of the circular path. Turbine vane position can be controlled either magnetically or mechanically. Where vane position is varied magnetically, a plurality of permanent magnets with suitable controls adjust the turbine vane position. Where vane position is varied mechanically, a pair of cam arrangements may be employed.
4 Propulsion device having circular array of inclined airfoil elements with radially-inwardly directed vacuum-inducing surfaces US186843 1994-01-27 US5413464A 1995-05-09 William H. Daniel
A propulsion device comprises a circular series of inclined airfoil elements. Each airfoil element is connected along its lower side to a rigid plate member, which is adapted to be rotated at high speed via a motor output shaft. The airfoil elements are oriented on the plate such that their vacuum-inducing surfaces face upwardly and inwardly of the circular series, and their pressure surfaces face downwardly and outwardly of the circular series.
5 Rotating thrust-producing apparatus US022507 1993-02-25 US5328333A 1994-07-12 Steven P. Quinn
A circular foil connectable to a source of power for producing thrust in an axial direction when rotated, includes a flat circular plate and a plurality of closely spaced-apart fins fixed to an upper face of the circular plate, which occupy substantially the entire peripheral portion of the plate. A cylindrical hoop is fixed to the plate adjacent to radially inwardly extending edges of the fins to prevent fluid disposed adjacent to the circular plate and radially inwardly of the fins, from flowing radially outwardly and into the space between the fins as the circular foil is rotated. The foil is rotated at a sufficient speed to discharge fluid molecules from spaces between the fins at a rate faster than they can be replenished. This creates an imbalance of fluid pressure on the first side of the foil relative to an opposite second side thereof. As a result, the circular foil moves in the direction of the deficit.

Thrust or carrying force generates a tubular fluid jet, which is created in that a fluid after radial acceleration in a disk-shaped driven rotor (11) mixes with another fluid (28, 32) in the peripherally disposed annular chamber (20) before being deflected in a nearly axial direction.

A rotating circular airfoil system (10) that creates lift when rotates about its axis (12) is disclosed. This circular airfoil is symmetrical about its axis and has a body-sectional-shape (14) similar to those of modern airplane wings. It is hollow in the middle to create a circular inner edge (16), which is the leading edge of the airfoil while its outer edge (18) is the trailing edge. Angle of attack (20) is symmetrically provided. Pairs of fins (22) are attached or embodied onto the top and the bottom of the airfoil. These sectional-tee-shape fins run radiately from the inner edge of the circular airfoil. Spokes (24) from the center of the circular airfoil attached to its inner edge enable it to be rotated by a turn-shaft that aligns to the airfoil axis through center hole (26). When this circular airfoil rotates about its axis in the air, the surrounding air is contact by the fins and forced to travel from the inner edge to the outer edge of the circular airfoil, as a result of the centrifugal action. While the air continuously travels from the leading edge (16) to the trailing edge (18) of the airfoil, it creates the well known lift force (28) of the airfoil principal. This circular airfoil system also operates in water or other fluids to create lift or propelling force.
