41 Cargo box of bicycle JP2008335975 2008-12-09 JP2010137834A 2010-06-24 KONNO TAKAMICHI
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate such drawbacks of sport bicycles and folding small-wheel bicycles having no cargo box for reduction of weight and aesthetic reasons that there is no room to place one's personal effects, and that, though there is a way to attach a cargo box frame directly to a seat post using an adapter, a connection at only one point may not only damage a sensitive seat post material but also cause the frame to drop due to loosening of the connection and contact a rear wheel to be worn. SOLUTION: A frame 1 of a cargo box is supported at two points of the seat post and a saddle rail and a bag, a net, a holder, or the like is attached to the cargo box, so that the one's personal effects corresponding to each cycling purpose can be stored therein. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a U-shaped lock device or other lengthy items to be housed without excessive stress independent of height, length of a saddle or vehicle layout. SOLUTION: A motor bicycle housing device has a structure where a housing box 49 thereof penetrates a swing arm 29 for supporting a rear wheel 28 vertically between a pivot shaft 11 and the rear wheel 28. This housing box 49 is formed to become narrower toward a lower direction when side-viewed. Only the narrowed part (a lower box part 51) penetrates the swing arm 29. COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
46 Mounting device for bicycle accessory JP20104690 1990-07-27 JPH0399990A 1991-04-25 DON HEI WAI CHIYAN; TOTSUDO PATAASON
PURPOSE: To facilitate the attachment work and to enhance the durability of a mounting device for a saddle bag or the like, by inserting a cleat member rotatably and unmovably provided to a support member attached to the bag, between frames of the attaching part so that the cleate member is rotated and locked to the frame to be fixed to a support member. CONSTITUTION: A cleat member 18 is inserted upward into an opening defined by saddle frame bars 16, and is rotated so that the cleat member 18 is aligned with the saddle frame bars 16 with a small gap therebetween in order to couple leg parts 18b, 20b with the saddle frame bars 16. Accordingly, the intermediate part 20a of the cleat member 18 is projected downward between the frame bars 16 so as to abut on the intermediate part 20a of a support member 20, being supported between the frame bars 16, and bridging over the space between the frame bars 16. Further, by manipulating a screw 22 and insertion of a pin 18d into a hole in the support member 20, the support member 20 and the cleat member 18 are fixed together. This arrangement facilitates the attachment work and enhances the durability. COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO
