221 Motorcycle grip with built-in heater JP16382594 1994-07-15 JPH0826164A 1996-01-30 OGATA TORU
PURPOSE:To provide a motorcycle grip, with built-in heater in which an FPC heater is surely extended along the peripheral surface of an inner piece. CONSTITUTION:An FPC heater 20 is wrapped on the circumference of an almost cylindrical plastic inner piece 12 whose cylindrical or circumferential part is notched, and a covered rubber layer 16 is formed on this heater as unitized in one, and then this FPC heater 20 is wrapped over an area of more than the semicircle and less than one round of a grip body 10 in an interval between the inner piece 12 and the covered rubber layer 16. With this constitution, a nonround area is made so as to form the covered rubber layer 16 in a form that adjoins both parting positions P and L of two metal molds 18a and 18b for molding the covered rubber layer, whereby any burr and creases are made so as not to occur in this heater 20. In addition, with a peripheral surface of the inner piece chamfered, thickness in the covered rubber layer 16 in a chamfered part 12c1 is increased to some extent, and in the case where some creases are produced in the heater 20, these creases are made so as to appear in this chamfered part 12c1.
