61 Stand device for motorcycle JP2006134385 2006-05-12 JP2007302170A 2007-11-22 YABE HIROYUKI; NIWANO ATSUKO
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily store a stand by small operation force in a stand device for a motorcycle in which the stand turnable between a standing position for obtaining the parking state and a storage position for releasing the parking state can be turned from at least the standing position to the storage position according to operation of an operation element. SOLUTION: The stand 37 supported on a vehicle body frame while enabling a stand support member 33 upwardly turned interlocked with storage operation of the operation element to being vertically turned and capable of obtaining the parking state when it is turned to the standing position at a lower limit turning position of the stand support member 33 is turnably connected to the stand support member 33 while enabling turning between the standing position and the storage position. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a step device capable of suppressing a sound and a vibration at the time of contacting on ground. SOLUTION: The step device has a placement part 580 on which a driver put his foot; and a bank sensor 581 projected from this placement part 580 and contacting on ground at the time of inclination of a car body. The step device can be manufactured by casting or the like by integrally forming these placement part 580 and bank sensor 581. A shape of the bank sensor 581 can be easily set into a form capable of suppressing the sound and the vibration at the time of contacting on ground.

65 Energy storage device for automobile JP20330283 1983-10-28 JPS6094824A 1985-05-28 YABUNAKA KIYOSHI
PURPOSE:To economize the energy for the auxiliary machinery of an automobile, by temporarily storing the kinetic energy of a shock absorber to utilize the energy for the auxiliary machinery. CONSTITUTION:An expansible/compressible single-acting shock absorber 3 is mounted between the wheel 4 and body 5 of a motorcycle 1. Hydraulic hoses 16, 17 are connected to the top and bottom of the cylinder 6 of the shock absorber 3. The hose 16 is connected to a hydraulic accumulator 20 mounted in a half portion of a tank 18, through a check valve 19 etc. The hose 17 is connected to an oil reservoir 21 through a check valve 19. A hydraulic cylinder 25 for erecting or putting away a stand 24 is connected to a oil supply/drain hose. When the motorcycle 1 is moving, the shock absorber 3 is expanded and compressed in the axial direction to store the energy of pressure oil in the accumulator 20. The hydraulic cylinder 25 is driven by the stored hydraulic energy to erect the stand 24.
66 Side stand housing device for motorcycle JP8713182 1982-05-23 JPS58206486A 1983-12-01 WADA MASAMI
PURPOSE:To simplify side stand housing operation by making a side stand automatically fall into its housing position when a motorcycle is started and put into a running position. CONSTITUTION:When a motorcycle is started with irs side stand 30 erected as it is stand position signal is input from a stand position detection switch 36 closed at the side stand 30 to a microcomputer 40 through a third input terminal 46. When a running position detection signal indicating that a motorcycle is started and reaches a preset running condition is input to the microcomputer 40 through a first input terminal 42, a first output terminal 50 sends out a side stand housing command signal in response to the stand position detection signal and running position detection signal and a terminal 54 issues a magnetic clutch operation command sigal. In response to these signals, a housing motor 62 rotates and makes a solenoid clutch 68 interlocked, making the side stand 30 rotate into its housing position.

1428327 Bicycle-supporting pedal attachments E E FOSTER 15 Feb 1974 [26 Feb 1973 3 Oct 1973] 6942/74 Heading B7J A support attachment for a pedal bicycle comprises a rigid stand-forming member 13 secured to a pedal 7 and rotatable therewith to the bicycle supporting position shown, the centre of gravity of the combined pedal and attachment being offset from the rotational axis of the pedal axle 6 so that member 13 is biased towards the bicycle supporting position. When the bicycle is in use, the rider's foot engages surface t of the pedal 7 to rotate the pedal out of the supporting position against the bias which is enhanced by a counterweight 30. The member 13 shown is formed from sheet stock bent to provide a side plate 15 diverging to a base edge 21 and a front plate 14 which is secured to the pedal axle 6 by a U-shaped bracket 31. Alternatively, the stand-forming member may be formed from a single continuous length of rod stock bent to an appropriate configuration and secured, for example, to a racing cycle pedal.

A vehicle body frame structure is applied to a straddle-type vehicle (100) in which a driving power transmission mechanism (104) which transmits rotational power of a driving source (103) to a rear wheel (102) is placed on a first side in a vehicle width direction, with respect to a center line of a vehicle body in the vehicle width direction. The vehicle body frame structure comprises a head pipe (2); and a pair of main frames (3 (3R, 3L)) extending rearward and outward in the vehicle width direction from the head pipe (2) in such a manner that the main frames (3(3R, 3L)) are spaced apart from each other in the vehicle width direction. The pair of main frames (3(3R, 3L) include portions (45R, 45L), respectively, facing the driving power transmission mechanism (104) in the vehicle width direction, and the portion (45R) facing the driving power transmission mechanism and being located on a second side in the vehicle width direction has a stiffness lower than that of the portion (45L) facing the driving power transmission mechanism and being located on the first side in the vehicle width direction.

75 STABILISER SYSTEM FOR VEHICLES EP90903869.7 1990-02-26 EP0460043B1 1994-07-27 SHEPHERD, Donald Welton
A stabiliser system, primarily for supporting a pedal bicycle and its rider upright at the halt, comprises a spring-loaded telescopic arm (25) pivoted at its upper end adjacent the rear wheel spindle (12) and having at its lower end a cross-shaft (26) carrying stabiliser wheels (27). The arm can be lowered by back-pedalling to draw a cable (22) onto a spool (31) on the pedal spindle (18). The cross-shaft also carries a flanged roller (51). When the arm is lowered by back-pedalling as the rider comes to a halt, the cross-shaft (26) is drawn beneath the rear wheel and the tyre (13) is engaged by the roller and the rear wheel is lifted off the ground, a large part of the weight of the rider being transferred to the ground through the rear wheel, the roller, the cross-shaft and the stabiliser wheels.
