The bottom plate (14) is intended to support the hull unit in a vibration-damped manner and to be capable of constituting protection against mines for the hull. The axles for the driving and tensioning wheels and the pendulum arms which form part of the track sets (18) are mounted in opposite sides of the bottom plate in a vibration-damped manner.

220 ANTRIEBSANLAGE FÜR EIN KETTENFAHRZEUG EP01911579.9 2001-02-02 EP1254044A1 2002-11-06 WOLFGANG, Werner; HUND, Hubert; RÖSCH, Thomas; WALTER, Bruno
The invention relates to a drive unit for a track-laying vehicle, with a first and a second electrical generator (6, 8), a first and a second internal combustion engine (10, 12), whereby each one generator (6, 8) may be driven by an internal combustion engine (10, 12) and electrical drive motors (14, 16, 18, 20), for driving a right and a left drive track (4, 2). According to the invention, the elements of the drive unit are linked together, in such a way that a first and a second right electric drive motor (14, 16) are dedicated to the right drive track (4) and that a first and second left electric drive motor (18, 20) are dedicated to the left drive track (2) and that both first drive motors (14, 18) are fed by the first generator (6) and both second drive motors (16, 20) are fed by the second generator (8). Said circuit configuration for the energy path permits a very high operating security, even with partially damaged drive units.
