A slider (45) engages the belt (10) on both sides of the running loop (42), the belt (10) between the running loop (42) and the end (12) anchored by means of a retractor (16) being free to pass through the slider (45), so that when the runner (25) is disposed at the forward end of the track (20) the belt (10) will be held clear of the seat (7) and the runner (25) may be moved to the rearward end of the track (20) when lengths of the belt (10) will be held diagonally across the chest and across the lap of the occupant of the seat (7).

Die Nase (32) des Sperrhakens (28) taucht in eine Ausnehmung (34) an der Ober­kante des Mitnehmers (5) ein. Auch nach hoher Unfallbeanspru­chung durch einen Frontalaufprall, bei welchem eine Verformung der belasteten Teile eintritt, bleibt der Sperrhaken (28) zu­verlässig mit dem Mitnehmer (5) in Eingriff.

The structure is suited for use in an automatic seat belt system of the type that a movable anchor (7) travels along a guide rail (6). The anchor base (11) surrounds transversely the guide rail on the side of an occupant-­restraining position and extends in the direction of the length of the guide rail. The anchor base is provided with a slot (26) to support the movable anchor on the anchor base. A notch (20) is formed at one side of the anchor base, which side is facing the stationary base. A pin (19) is provided on the side of the stationary base and is hooked in the notch, whereby the anchor base is fixed on the stationary base.

A passive vehicle seat belt system includes measures to prevent overheating of the drive motor - (9) and obstruction of system operation. Drive motor excess current demand is sensed by a sensor (41) to effect motor de-energization and/or disabling of latching means of a retractor (52; 62) included in the system and/or operation of an indicator light (17). The indicator light (17) can prompt manual motor de-energization. Disabling of retractor latching means can be effected by a belt movement command signal. Le mécanisme de traction peut poursuivre son mouvement lors de l'interruption de l'alimentation du moteur, si bien que l'énergie cinétique accumulée dans le moteur et le mécanisme de traction peut disparaître progressivement. Un curseur (19) est fixé au mécanisme de traction (16) et le mécanisme de fixation (10) est fixé de manière libérable au curseur et est retenu sur celui-ci par des broches (25, 31) et par un cliquet (36). The present invention relates to an apparatus for automatically locking and unlocking a vehicle seat belt, which automatically locks and unlocks seat belts of a driver seat and of a passenger seat of a vehicle. The key technical features of the present invention relate to an apparatus comprising: a first housing (10) arranged at an upper portion of a vehicle door; a second housing (20) arranged at a side portion of the vehicle door; a belt-locking bar (40), one end of which is coupled to a hinge portion (30) formed at the center of a connection portion between the first housing (10) and the second housing (20), such that the belt-locking bar (40) rotates between the first housing (10) and the second housing (20), wherein the belt-locking bar (40) has a guide rail portion (45) formed in a lengthwise direction; a movable block (61) slidably coupled to the guide rail portion (45); a retractor (50) arranged at a side surface of a seat (1); a chest protection belt (60), one end of which is connected to the movable block (61) and the other end of which is connected to the retractor (50) such that the other end can be wound by the retractor (50); an abdomen-protecting belt (70), one end of which is connected to the belt-locking bar (40) and the other end of which is connected to the retractor (50), such that the other end can be wound by the retractor (50); and a controller (100) for controlling the rotation of the belt-locking bar (40). According to the present invention, the seat belt is automatically locked upon starting the operation of the engine of the vehicle, even when a driver or a passenger in the vehicle does not manually put on the seat belt, thereby reducing accidents caused by not wearing seat belts.
