Resealable multi-ply labels include a base label ply and an overlaminate for capturing onserts between them. The base label plies carry an adhesive layer on the bottom surface for mounting the resealable multi-ply labels to articles. The base plies each include a hinge area, an attachment area, a tab area, and an intermediate area separating the hinge area from the attachment area. The overlaminates form permanent bonds with both the hinge areas and the tab areas of the base plies and form reusable bonds with the attachment areas of the base plies. The permanently bonded tab areas of the base plies provide access for releasing the overlaminates from the attachment areas of the base plies and exposing the onserts. |

A method and apparatus for forming a composite informational item having at least a first informational item bonded to a second informational item. A forming apparatus may form a plurality of first informational items from a plurality of sheets of paper having printed information thereon, each of the first informational items having a first face and a second face opposite the first face. An assembling unit may be operatively coupled to automatically receive the first informational items formed by the forming apparatus. A transfer section may transport the first informational items from the forming apparatus to the assembling unit. An inlet feeder section may advance the first informational items through the assembling unit. An assembly section may include an adhesive applicator for applying adhesive to one of the faces of the first informational items, a second informational item feeder carrying a plurality of second informational items, and a transfer mechanism for automatically transferring one of the plurality of second informational items from the item feeder to a position above the first informational item so that the face of the first informational item with the adhesive disposed thereon contacts with a face of the second informational item so that the first informational item face is adhesively bonded to the second informational item as the first and second informational items are advanced through the assembling unit. |

A method for folding a textile strip length, including the steps of first holding the strip length firmly close to an auxiliary folding edge whose direction is parallel to a definitive folding edge, folding a part of the strip around the auxiliary folding edge substantially perpendicular to the plane of the strip length to form a definitive fold, gripping an end of the part of the strip folded around the auxiliary folding edge, compressing the part of the strip against a clamping surface arranged substantially co-planar with the plane of the strip length and belonging to a clamping element forming the definitive fold, and smoothing and fixing the folded part of the strip lying substantially in the plane of the strip length between the clamping surfaces arranged substantially in the plane of the strip length. |
