The present invention provides a cheese slicer adjustable for slicing cheese in variable thicknesses, comprising a handle; a guiding plate pivotally connected to the handle; a slicing plate having a slicing blade, wherein the slicing blade and the guiding plate together define a gap as slice thickness; a linkage movably resting against the guiding plate so that the movement of the linkage enables the guiding plate to pivot around the handle relative to the slicing blade thereby to provide variable slice thickness for the item to be sliced; an actuator assembly in operative connection with the linkage to move the linkage on the guiding plate. The cheese slicer of the present invention further comprises an indicating mechanism to clearly indicate the selected thickness of the sliced cheese. |

A kitchen knife device designed to cut food includes a handle and a blade connected to an end of the handle. The blade has two opposite lateral surfaces, on each of which a plurality of recesses is formed and arranged side-by-side in a row. The recesses formed on the two lateral surfaces of the blade are symmetrical in position. Due to air existing in the recesses, food being cut with the kitchen knife device does not easily stick to the lateral surfaces of the blade, and a user needs not to take time to separate the split food from the lateral surfaces of the blade, making the cutting more efficiently. |

A dual knife food cutter apparatus is configurable into a cutting configuration and a storage configuration. It comprises two substantially identical blades and a handle apparatus with slots. In the cutting configuration, the first blade is attached to the second blade to form a substantially contiguous combined cutting edge. In the storage configuration, the cutting side of each blade is inserted into the slot of the handle of the other blade to protect users from accidental cuts. |

An adjustable food slicer is provided. The adjustable food slicer includes a handle having a grasping portion and a pair of side members extending from the grasping portion. A blade for slicing or planing vegetables, cheeses, or other sliceable food items, extends between the opposing side members. An adjustment mechanism is operatively connected to a spacer, wherein the adjustment mechanism and spacer are connected to the handle. The adjustment mechanism includes a rotatable dial that causes the spacer to move relative to the blade, thereby adjusting the distance between the spacer and blade for allowing the user to selectively adjust the thickness of the slice being removed. |

A knife with an adjustable blade guide includes a groove extending from a left end of the handle to a right end of the handle (in a view from which the handle rests on a surface), an extension from the blade guide insertable into the groove of the handle from both the left and right ends, such that the blade guide's position within the groove may be adjusted to determine the spacing between the guide and the blade and thereby the thickness of the slices obtained. |

A cutting implement with an adjustable guide, such as a knife, includes a handle, an elongated blade, a guide adjustable with respect to the blade, and a knob substantially received in a cavity formed in the upper region of the handle. The knob protrudes from the cavity and cooperates with the guide so that a user can adjust the space between the guide and the blade by rotation of the knob. |

A device for grasping and handling generally cylinder sector shaped articles such as pieces of cake or the like, comprises two blade parts (1, 2) and a grip (8, 9) located at one end of these blades. The two blade parts (1, 2) are pivotably connected with each other by means of a hinge (4) located at that end of the blade parts which is opposite to the grip (8, 9). |

A slicing apparatus including a handle, a curved continuous loop blade attached to the handle, and an adjustably positioned, rotatable roller. The positioning of the roller adjusts the depth of cut. The blade has a forward edge with a plurality of teeth and a plurality of V-shaped grooves extending into the blade adjacent the teeth while the rearward edge may be sharpened. Certain structure for the adjustability of the positioning of the roller is disclosed. |

This invention is an adjustable multi-purpose knife structure operable to fillet fish and cut selected thickness of meat, cheese, or the like. The adjustable multi-purpose knife structure includes first and second handle and blade assemblies interconnected by a connector and guide assembly and movable relative to each other by an actuator assembly. Each handle and blade assembly includes a blade member secured to a handle member. The connector and guide assembly includes spaced guide pin members operably connected to the adjacent first and second handle and blade assemblies to control the respective lateral movement thereof. The actuator assembly includes an actuator wheel assembly connected to and mounted between the first and second handle and blade assemblies and an actuator lock assembly mounted in one of the handle members. The actuator wheel assembly includes an actuator member that is rotatable to selectively move the first and second handle and blade assemblies toward or away from each other. The actuator lock assembly includes a lock member selectively engagable with the actuator member to prevent rotation thereof to lock the first and second handle and block assemblies in a selected spaced relationship. Numerous types of blade members may be provided depending on the desired cutting operation to be performed. |
