PURPOSE: To fix automatically the spring coils inside a mattress one by one to the edge wires by operating the clip winders after de-energizing the drives by the controllers.
CONSTITUTION: A supporter 14 for the springs 20 inside a mattress and for the edge wires 22, 24 is set up to support them by erecting at edges in a near straight-up position the springs 20 having the edge wires placed diagonally at the both sides. Further, in order to fix the edge wires 22, 24 to the springs 20 by the drives 80, 94, they 20 and 22, 24 are advanced along the supporter 14 toward the directions of clip winders 36, 54 neighboring to the supporter 14 for winding the clips over to the edge wires 22, 24 and to the spring 20 coils 20a. The controllers 106, 113 de-energize the drives 80, 94 one by one to move the clip winders 36, 54 to fix the spring 20 coils 20a one by one to the edge wires 22, 24 along the edges.

A bedding mattress, including a spring assembly having top and bottom parallel surfaces, padding over the top and bottom surfaces, and an upholstered covering completely encasing said spring assembly and padding. The spring assembly comprises multiple parallel rows of coil springs, each row of which is formed from a single continuous length of wire with each row containing a plurality of coils interconnected by connector segments. The rows of coils are interconnected by helical springs extending parallel to the rows and alternately wound around endmost turns of coils in a pair of adjacent rows of coils. The connector segment which interconnects the coils of each row comprises a generally diagonally extending connector bar having parallel end portions connected at the center by an offset section, which offset section is formed by rotation of the offset section relative to the end portions of the connector bar while the end portions of the connector bar are restrained against rotation. |

An automatic frame bending machine is disclosed for bending off rod steel or steel bands, and a process and device for producing spring mattresses. The purpose of the invention is to design a frame bending machine with which frames of the most diverse types can be automatically produced without risk of material losses or of deforming the frames. The frame bending machine should also be easy to integrate in an assembly line. For this purpose, a spool is provided, after which the steel passes through a wire straightener composed of a rotor and rollers, measurement and traction rollers linked to the bending device, cutting means and a centering metal sheet. Hydraulic motors controlled by a microprocessor from a control panel are provided for driving and bending. |
