The second left plate is coupled to be able to be rotated by the second hinge shaft. The driving-member supporting plate is coupled perpendicularly to the rear end of the right plate. The rack gear is coupled perpendicularly to the rear end of the second left plate. The driving motor generates rotating power according to a sensor.

The immobiliser consists of two shutters (2) which are let into the floor (3) of a vehicle. The two shutters are raised and lowered by a power cylinder and lever mechanism located in the pedestal and beneath the floor. In the raised position they fit to the front and rear of at least one wheel of the wheelchair, preventing it from moving in either direction, while when lowered they lie flush with the floor and cause no hindrance to movement.

In addition, a foldable chair may be mounted on the foot support. The foot support may be connected with the vehicle floor using a connector which fits in a rail in said floor.

The current invention also concerns a system comprising a floor plate and one or more connectors for fixating a load, such as a foldable chair, to a rail of said floor plate.
