Foreign materials Z, which intrude when a steering lower cover K rotates, enter from above the gap P which is opened upwards detouring the upper edge part 15a of the outside peripheral cylinder part 15o so that it is not easy for the foreign materials Z to directly enter a storage space S, and the amount of foreign materials Z to intruded into the storage space S can be reduced. |

A torque transmission part 61 is concentric with an angle detection rotary part 33 provided on an angle detection sensor 31 used to detect the rotational angle of the steering gear. The torque transmission part transmits rotary torque from the steering gear to the angle detection rotary part 33. A fitting part 62 is formed on the torque transmission part 61 so as to be fitted to a fitting permission part 34 that is formed on at least a portion of the angle detection rotary part 33 in the circumferential direction thereof. A contact fitting portion 62t which is brought into contact with and fitted to the fitting permission part 34 of the fitting part 62 is tapered toward the corresponding fitting part 34. |
