PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch module which is less likely to be damaged and a portable electronic device using the switch module.SOLUTION: A switch module according to the invention includes: a substrate; an activation component fixed to the substrate; an elastic arm; and a pressing button. One end of the elastic arm is fixed to the substrate, and the other end of the elastic arm engages with the pressing button. The activation component is positioned between both ends of the elastic arm. When the pressing button is pressed, the elastic arm curves toward the activation component to press the activation component. The activation component emits an activation signal to turn on or off a power source of the switch module. |

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emergency stop push button equipped with a status indicator that can be easily recognized by viewers.
SOLUTION: The emergency push-button 10 has an indicator 72 that is disposed proximate to an actuator 18 head and biased for movement thereto. The indicator 72 has an indicator surface with an indicia thereon that indicates the status of the emergency push-button 10 and that is configured to be selectively viewable through the indicator window 108 of the actuator 18 head. The indicator 72 further has at least one arm 80 that extends therefrom and engages with at least one guide surface 94. Upon reciprocation of the actuator 18 head to the actuated position, at least one arm 80 is biased by at least one guide surface 94 of the housing 12 to move to a position whereby the indicia as well as the indicator is moved to allow viewing through at least one window 108.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic switch relay enabling easier confirmation of a switch state.
SOLUTION: A display element 11 of this switch relay 1 is operationally connected to a switch contact 24 to display the switch state, so as to be clearly recognizable. Since the display element 11 enlarges a display stroke, the movement of the contact can be confirmed easily visually. The principle is based on, for example, that the pointer of a film-like hinge 39 is extended. As a result of the display element being formed as a synthetic resin part with small mass, the force of the contact is reduced by the corresponding minute quantity.

PURPOSE: To simplify composition of a high-current protection element and realize superhigh-speed cut off time, by composing the element of separate members and by connecting a current conductor to be disconnected to the component members. CONSTITUTION: A high-current protection element 1 is composed of a casing 10, and two current connection pieces 4a, 4b protrude from the casing 10. Current conductors 3, 3' of a current circuit to be protected are attached to the connection pieces 4a, 4b respectively. A socket 14 is provided on an end-face side cover 11 of the casing 10 right in the middle thereof and this socket is connected to a trigger electronic circuit device. A cut-off device based on pyrotechnics is provided within the casing 10 and this cut-off device disconnects a conductive connection of the connection pieces 4a, 4b according to a signal of the trigger electronic circuit device. |

PURPOSE: To confirm an open-close status of contact of an industrial rating circuit breaker from outside of the circuit breaker by auxiliary switch-contacts status indication accessories. CONSTITUTION: An observation window 26 of an accessories cover 13 of a circuit breaker forms a part of auxiliary switch accessories and a colored shutter 25 acting separately from the circuit brdaker crossbar assembly is visually observed. In case a circuit breaker operation handle moves to an off position and the contact remains at a closed position, a colored mark shows the real status of the circuit breaker contact. |

PURPOSE: To make it possible to obtain a switch having indicator function as well as closing/opening a circuit as it is by impressing a desired positive and its inverted voltage to a transparent conductive layer and its opposite electrode layer and connecting to them a circuit capable of closing/opening at least at two points on an electrochromic layer.
CONSTITUTION: While a transfer switch 9 is displaced downward or connected to the 10A DC current side, if push-button switches 8A and 8B are turned on for a short time, then an electrochromic layer 3 turns blue which is visible from upward through a substrate 1. At the same time the electrochromic layer 3 becomes conductive to provide conductivity between A and α so that non-DC current passes through between A and α via capacitors 12A and 12α. Next, while the transfer switch 9 is displaced upward or toward the DC power supply 10B side, the push-button switches 8A and 8B are turned on for a short time, the electrochromic layer 3 is deprived of the color and at the same time becomes insulated to provide non-conductivity between A and α. With this procedure it is possible to unite switching and indicator functions together.
