161 Low current switching apparatus having detent structure providing tactile feedback EP91101800.0 1991-02-08 EP0444459A2 1991-09-04 Zuercher, Joseph Charles; Lewis, Edward George; Taranowski, Michael G.; Williams, Constance Lanear

Pivotal movement of a switch actuator (16) drives a finger (16c,16d) projecting from the actuator against a convexly bowed leaf spring (40), depressing an intermediate portion of the leaf spring to an unstable concave condition. The leaf spring resists the actuator movement, initially with an increasing force but changing to a decreasing force at a predictable point (B) in actuator movement to provide tactile feedback at an operator (22) affixed to the actuator. The leaf spring is a flat beam. The spring force and point of changeover can be readily and predictably varied during manufacture by selecting springs (40) having different widths, thicknesses or other variable parameters. A modular block (38) holds the spring in the bowed condition and is positioned relative to the actuator finger by a support plate (36). The actuator finger drives the spring against a conductive rubber block (34a,34b), compressing the block against spaced conductors (28d,28e) on a printed circuit (28) to complete the circuit. A plurality of such switches are made in a common package by layering a printed circuit (28), insulator sheet (30), conductive rubber sheet (34) with raised bosses (34a,34b,34c), detent support plate (36) and a plurality of detent blocks (38) with bowed springs (40), between a base (26) and a cover (4). Back lit illumination is provided by a light pipe (42) trapped against the cover as an additional layer. A microprocessor board (52), connected to the internal printed circuit (28), is attached to the switch housing (2) exteriorly of the base (26).

166 Delay switch JP29475097 1997-10-28 JPH11134972A 1999-05-21 SHIBATA KIWAMU; KONDO HIDEYA; TADASAWA TAKAAKI; SAITO JUN; KITAMURA TSUNEHIRO; KAWAMOTO TETSUYASU; KAJIYAMA TOMOHITO; ONO TAKESHI
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical and low noise delay switch highly reliable for delay operation. SOLUTION: At the time of set operation by a handle 90, which is an operational part, the upper part of a part 26a' of a card 26 to be pushed is pushed by the tip part of a cam 90b and the card 26 is moved. At that time, a sucking block 23 is elastically deformed following the movement of the card 26 and a sucking disk 23b is sucked and hold by a body 24 to be sucked. The body 24 to be sucked is made of a porous body and air from a ventilation hole 29 flows into a space formed between the sucking disk 23b and the body 24 to be sucked through the body 24 to be sucked. Moreover, the card 26 is urged forward by a return spring 27. At the time of set-releasing operation by the handle 90, the tip part of the cam 90b is parted from the tip of the part 26a' to be pushed due to the rotation of the cam 90b and then when the suction force of the sucking disk 23b applied to the body 24 to be sucked becomes lower than the spring force of the return spring 27, the card 26 moves forward and a part 26c of the card 26 pushes up a contact spring 70. 167 Button interface for state machine JP12678396 1996-05-22 JPH08329768A 1996-12-13 KEBUIN ARAN SHIERUBII
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output plural signals by a first inexpensive device by arranging an electric insulating base member having a first electric contact point and a second electric contact point and a conductive bias means or the like. SOLUTION: An electric insulating base member 110 has an X contact point 120 as a first electric contact point and a Y contact point 122 as a second electric point, and a conductive bias means (a contact spring) 140 is supported by its upper surface 112. The spring 140 and the contact points 120 and 122 can be electrically contacted with each other by closing gaps 160 and 162 arranged between respective upper surfaces of the contact point 120 and the contact point 122 and a lower surface of the spring 140. That is, the gaps 160 and 162 are individually or simultaneously closed by individually or simultaneously imparting downward force to respective outside surfaces 151 of a cover 150 in the vicinity of the contact points 120 and 122. Therefore, since electric potential of an electric lead wire 136 can be transmitted to an X lead wire 130 or a Y lead wire 136 or both lead wires, plural signals can be outputted. 168 Wiper/washer switch JP29145293 1993-10-27 JPH06203703A 1994-07-22 GAI EE BUOJITANEKU
PURPOSE: To simplify the control mechanism of a wiper/washer motor and improve the reliability by rotatably mounting a rocker member for user operation on a slider slidably mounted on a switch housing. CONSTITUTION: A rocker member 28 is pivotally fixed to a slider member 22 slidable on a switch housing 12. In order to switch a wiper motor circuit, a plurality of circular contact pieces 42-45, 62, 64 are mounted on the housing 12. A first set of the contact pieces 42-45 is partitioned in order to impart a switching by the short-circuit contact by the rotating movement of the rocker member 28. A second set of the contact pieces 62, 64 is arranged so as to regularly make contact with a short-circuit contact 60, and the short-circuit contact 60 short-circuits the two contacts 62, 64 when the member is slid by pushing operation, and imparts this short-circuiting function to any rotating position of the locker member 28.
169 Low-voltage current switching device and manufacture thereof JP5812891 1991-02-28 JPH05225861A 1993-09-03 JIYOZEFU CHIYAARUSU TSUYURUHIY; EDOWAADO JIYOOJI RUISU; MAIKERU JII TARANOUSUKII; KONSUTANTO REENAA UIRIAMUSU
PURPOSE: To recognize a switch position by sense of touch by providing a return stopping structure to give an operator a tactile feedback. CONSTITUTION: When an actuator 16 moves to a second position, a tip of a finger 16c moves along on a top surface of a spring 40 to bend a middle part of the spring 40 as a bow shape orienting downward. The spring 40 engages with a top surface of a protrusion 34a, presses the protrusion 34a to conductive parts 28d, 28e to make an electric current conductive (switch) bridge between them. The spring 40 applies a return bias to the actuator 16 so as to prevent it from shifting from the center. After the finger 16c is engaged with the spring 40, the rubber protrusion 34a prevents the motion of the actuator 16. A force of spring 40 continues to increase until a button 22 reaches to its stroke half time. When a process of the actuator 16 reaches to the point wherein making switch is promoted, a resisting force is decreased.

A switch to be used for a power window of an automobile or the like is disclosed. It has a switch body. A knob is rotatably axially supported by the switch body. The knob has an accommodating chamber in its inside. A presser is accommodated within the chamber and biased downward by a spring. A pair of contact blades are positioned under the presser. Each of the contact blades is formed at its central portion with a V-shaped portion and inclined surfaces extending toward the right and left directions. The inclined surfaces are further extended to form contact portions. There is formed with a step between the inclined surfaces and the contact portions, so that a first step of operation and a second step of operation of the knob can be made without mistake. Stationary contacts are positioned corresponding to the contact portions. It also has a pair of contact holders. Each of the holders has a supporting piece folded upward from its one side. The supporting pieces contact the under surfaces of the inclined surfaces. A two way solenoid is connected to the knob to attract it in the both directions.
