Disclosed is a dosing device (1) for dosing and/or portioning ground coffee or tea leaves. Said device acts as an accessory device for a coffee maker or tea maker and comprises at least one graduated scale (10) that indicates the number of cups. In order to establish the desired strength or a relatively precise amount of ground coffee or tea leaves required and to enable the accessory to be used in existing coffee machines, a tubular insert (2; 14) is provided and placed on the bottom of a filter (13) that can be filled with ground coffee or tea leaves. The bottom-side opening of the insert is substantially closed by the bottom of the filter (13). At least one graduated scale (10) is arranged on the wall of the insert (2; 14), extending from the bottom edge (5) in the direction of the top edge (9). The graduated scale (10) only allows for enough ground coffee to be placed in the receiving area of the dosing device as required according to the degree of strength and the desired number of cups. The dosing device (1) is subsequently lifted out of the filter (13), whereby the ground coffee is emptied into the filter (13) via the bottom opening (5).

The proposed metering reservoir has an upwards-pointing aperture (1) aligned in that position in the central region of the upper section of the metering reservoir. With an upwards-pointing aperture (1), both the width and the length of the metering reservoir are greater than its height (h). The edges of the aperture (1) are sufficiently far from the outer sides of the metering reservoir to ensure that the metering reservoir when half-filled with liquid does not discharge its contents until it is inclined at an angle of more than 60 DEG relative to its position when the aperture points upwards. Securing means (2) for fixing the metering reservoir on a bottle (3) are aligned in such a way that the median lines of the securing means (2) and aperture (1) lie in the same plane and at right angles to one another. The metering reservoir, which will not tilt when in use and is fixed to the washing agent bottle (3) does not extend beyond the base dimensions of a standard flat bottle.

The present invention relates to a doser device which determines a priori the volume of an alcoholic drink that a person can drink so as not to exceed a given alcoholemia ratio in the blood of said person. The device of the invention comprises a container having a known volume and presenting various graduations: one graduation for the user's weight (expressed in kilograms), one graduation for the volume of the container (expressed in centilitres) and one graduation for the alcohol content of various drinks (expressed in degrees). Said three graduations are set on the container and are connected through lines forming together a reading chart, in order to read the volume variation of the various alcoholic drinks according to the weight and sex of the user, to correspond to the same predetermined alcoholemia percentage. The line of level of the liquid poured into the container is determined simply by observing its crossing with the reading chart. The device of the invention is particularly intended to the preventive control of alcoholemia when driving.

Apparatus for determining deviation of a volume of liquid from a predetermined volume comprises a main vessel (4) for receiving the liquid and a measuring vessel (5) from which the deviation is determined from the meniscus of the liquid in the measuring vessel (5). A communicating tube (49) extending from a neck (32) of the main vessel (4) communicates the main vessel (4) with the secondary vessel (5) through a ball valve (56). Liquid above a weir (55) in the neck (32) flows into the measuring vessel (5). The deviation of the liquid volume is read from a scale (26) adjacent the measuring vessel (5). A variable volume bladder (71) completely filled with liquid alcohol is mounted in the main vessel (4) for compensating for volume changes in the main vessel (4) due to temperature variations.
