PURPOSE: To provide a lateral expansion of the upper and/or lower poster molars by providing an appliance which is composed of a generally U-shaped wire material with a curved part at its center and tow free rear ends, and at least one plate part is fixed to the wire material.
CONSTITUTION: This bumper is formed in a generally U-shaped from a wire material 11. In the U-shaped configuration, free ends 12 and 14 form a single projection wire, and they are inserted into tubes 16 and 18 fixed to molar bands 20 and 22 held on the first permanent molar. The bumper includes two lateral side pads 24, 26 formed from an elastic plastic material which extend from a wire 11 from a posterior position close to the free end of the U-shaped frame that is secured in the buccal tubes to an anterior position so as to cover the buccal side of the molars, premolars or bicuspids and canines. The band also includes anterior pads 28 and 30 to hold the lower lip away from the lower canines to permit expansion in that area and to provide distal pressure on the anchoring molar.

PURPOSE: To easily perform correction of molars in the turning direction, in such a manner as the end part of an inside dental arch is set to extend at right angles to the main plane of the inside dental arch and as each end part is inserted into the corresponding tube so as to freely turn.
CONSTITUTION: A dental arch gear 12 comprises an inside dental arch 1 and an outside dental arch 5, and further, two connecting members 2 connecting each end part 3 of the inside dental arch 1 and molars 4. Also, each end part 6 of the outside dental arch 5 is formed like a hook, and at each hook-like part a neck band or the like is attached to enable to apply desired force to each molar 4. Each connecting member 2 includes a tube part 7 to be attached to a loop-shaped band part 8 and formed so as to be mounted on the molar 4 through the band part 8. The end part 3 of the inside dental arch 1 is slid and inserted into the tube part 7 to be disposed so as to extend at right angles to the main plane of the inside dental arch 1. At this time, the end part 3 is placed to freely rotate within the tube part 7. Consequently, favorable correction force is applied to the molars 4 by the inside dental arch 1.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely mount an ultrasonic vibrator for accelerating the growth of a bone tissue around an implant.
SOLUTION: An ultrasonic therapeutic apparatus 6 includes two housings 7 and two fixing fittings 10, 11. Each housing 7 is to cover a dental necks in which the implant 5 is embedded, and the vibrator is embedded in an inner wall. The fittings 10, 11 each coupled to the housings 7 has a crown, with which adjacent teeth 12, 13 are covered. Two implants are embedded in parts from which the two teeth of the dental necks are extracted. The housings 7 cover the dental necks between the teeth 12 and 13, which are covered with the fittings 10, 11, and thereby the housing 7 can be stably fixed. An ultrasonic signal is supplied from an external unit to the vibrator in this state, and thereby the growth of the bone tissue can be accelerated around the implant 5.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |

PURPOSE:To provide the orthodontic chin cap device which corrects reverse occlusion by mandibular protrusion and the orthodontic force measuring means which measures the orthodontic force, direction, etc., thereof. CONSTITUTION:This orthodontic chip cap device is constituted to correct the progenia by mounting freely turnable pulleys 6 on both right and left sides of the chip cap 2 to be pressed to the front end of the lower jaw 1, setting rubber bands (energizing members) 3 on these pulleys 6, detaining both upper and lower ends of these rubber bands by means of hooks to a head gear 5 mounted on the head 4 and pulling the lower jaw 1 rear upward by the chin cap 2. This orthodontic force measuring means is constituted by supporting the points near both ends of four pieces of splints with four pieces of supporting shafts freely turnably with each other to form a rhombic shape and providing the part near one piece of the supporting shaft among these shafts with an angle scale for reading the turning angles between the splints mentioned above. |

PURPOSE: To provide a molar tube or a cheek tube newly improved to use a lip-bumper or a face-bow of a head gear system so that a patient can easily and safely insert an arm or an end part of the lip bumper or the face bow when one or both of molars rotate in the inconvenient direction. CONSTITUTION: In a molar tube appliance which is installed on a molar and contains a molar tube or a cheek tube 15 to receive a lip bumper 40 or a face bow 11, the tube 15 has an expanded opening part having a larger end part. The opening part is formed as a structure such as improving inserting performance of the lip bumper 40 or the face bow 11 by a patient, particularly, its inserting performance when the molar rotates in the improper direction. |

PURPOSE: To provide a muscle expanding bumper used for correction of irregular teeth, by providing a U-shaped wire material with a central bending part and two free rear end parts and at least one side pad attached in a gap between free ends and the central bending part.
CONSTITUTION: A bumper 10 has an almost U shape including a wire material 11. Free ends 12 and 14 of the U-shaped bumper are simply projected wires which are inserted into buccal tubes 16 and 18 that are individually fixed to molar bands 20 and 22 of first permanent molars. The bumper includes two side pads 24 and 26 which cover molars, small molars and canine teeth of buccal sides. Side pads 24 and 26 are made of elastomer and are located from rear sites near free ends inserted into buccal tubes to the front site of the U-shaped frame and over longitudinally spread wire material 11. In addition, the bumper which includes front pads 28 and 30 for increasing distant (rear) pressure allows the lower lip apart from a lower incisor and results in extending the area. In this way, bumper which is able to laterally expand only upper and lower segments can be obtained.
