PURPOSE: A speed detecting device reduces the number of parts and simplifies assembly process. CONSTITUTION: A speed detecting device comprises a synchronizer gear(51), a rear speed gear(61), a cam(63), a return spring(64), a front sensor ring(52), a rear sensor ring(62), a two-way sensor(70) and a controller(50). The synchronizer gear(51) has a bearing(53) between itself and a propeller shaft(60) and is rotated by a front wheel driving shaft. The rear speed gear(61) is moved front ward and backward by being engaged with the propeller shaft(60) by sleeve and engaged with the synchronizer gear(51) to rotate the propeller shaft(60). The cam(63) rotates the propeller shaft(60) to converts to four-wheeled driving by engaging the rear speed gear(61) with the synchronizer gear(51) by the operation of a driver. The return spring(64) is mounted between the synchronizer gear(51) and the rear speed gear(61) to elastically pushes the rear speed gear(61). The front sensor ring(52) is formed on the periphery of the synchronizer gear(51). The rear sensor ring(62) is formed on the periphery of the rear speed gear(61). The two-way sensor(70) detects the rotation frequencies of the front sensor ring(52) and the rear sensor ring(62) simultaneously. The controller(50) receives the signal of the two-way sensor(70) and compares the rotation frequencies of front wheels and rear wheels.

40 HYBRID POWERTRAIN AND DUAL CLUTCH TRANSMISSION US12351544 2009-01-09 US20100179024A1 2010-07-15 Alan G. Holmes
An automatic dual clutch transmission includes an input clutch which selectively connects a prime mover to an electric motor. The electric motor, in turn, is connected to the inputs of a pair of coaxial friction clutches. Each of the coaxial outputs of the friction clutches drives an input gear with meshes with a pair of gears, one of which is associated with each of a respective pair of layshafts or countershafts. On each countershaft, between the pair of gears driven by the outputs of the two clutches, are a pair of synchronizer clutches which selectively synchronize and connect one of the two gears to the associated countershaft. A similar arrangement of a second pair of gears separated by synchronizer clutches connects the countershafts through a selected gear to a pair of output gears coupled to and driving a differential cage or spool.
