181 Electro-mechanical actuator US37103673 1973-06-18 US3877226A 1975-04-15 BLUM ALVIN S
An electro-mechanical actuator for providing linear reciprocal motion which translates the short, abrupt linear stroke of a solenoid into a longer stroke of more uniform force on an actuating rod. The linear motion of the solenoid armature is coupled through a large spring adjacent a piston lying in a first chamber filled with a hydraulic fluid. A second chamber in communication with said first chamber houses a smaller diameter piston having an actuating rod disposed from one side. An accordion-like chamber adjacent the rod seal protects the seal from dust or damage.
182 Multi-circuit brake installations for vehicles US26294672 1972-06-15 US3876225A 1975-04-08 ALT CLAUS-CHRISTIAN; MULLER ALF
A multi-circuit brake installation for vehicles having at least three separate and independent braking circuits for braking the wheels. A master cylinder is provided with at least three pistons arranged serially therewithin. These pistons serve to separate the braking circuits and are arranged to collapse against an adjacent piston or end wall of the cylinder upon failure of the braking circuit immediately in communication with the respective pistons. One arrangement with three braking circuits has a separate circuit for each of the front steerable wheels and a third circuit for the two rear wheels. A steering connection for this one arrangement provides for a negative or small roll radius at the steerable front wheels.
183 Multi-circuit brake installation for vehicles, especially motor vehicles US30991372 1972-11-27 US3840098A 1974-10-08 ALT C; MULLER A; VAN WINSEN F
A multi-circuit brake installation for vehicles, especially for motor vehicles, whose hydraulic brake systems are constructed at least as a three-circuit brake system; the system is such that the two front wheel brakes can be braked by means of a first circuit as well as by means of a second circuit while the two rear wheels can be braked by means of a third circuit.
184 Apparatus for transmitting force by hydraulic pressure US38061773 1973-07-19 US3837166A 1974-09-24 HIRAOKA K
A hydraulic pressure transmitter is connected by a flexible tube to a hydraulic actuator. The transmitter has a flexible bellows, with a closed outer end, whose interior defines a first chamber, has a cylinder, and has a piston reciprocable in the cylinder and defining therewith a second chamber, communicating with the bellows, and a third chamber communicating with the tube. The closed outer end of the bellows has a pressure plate thereon which is engaged by an operating button which can be depressed to collapse the bellows. A piston rod is secured to the closed bellows end and extends through a perforated rigid diaphragm into the second chamber, the inner end of the piston being shaped to sealingly engage in an aperture in an end wall of the piston. The piston is biased toward the piston rod by a spring, and has a small clearance with the cylinder walls for flow of hydraulic fluid therepast between the second and third chamber parts.
