<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an aged performance deterioration of a single screw compressor by preventing deformation of a gate which meshes with a spiral groove of a screw rotor, and reducing wear of the gate. <P>SOLUTION: In a single screw compressor, a gate rotor assembly (60) is constituted by a gate rotor (50) and a gate rotor supporting member (55). In the gate rotor assembly (60), each gate (51) is supported by a gate supporting member (57) from the back side. In each gate (51), a pressure introduction passage (52) which penetrates through each gate (51) in thickness direction thereof is formed. Further, a back pressure space (65) is formed on a back side of each gate (51). The back pressure space (65) communicates with a space at front side of the gate (51) via the pressure introduction passage (52). <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid compressor capable of preventing generation of water in a motor chamber even if fluid containing hydrogen flows into the motor chamber from a pump chamber side and preventing deterioration in performance as the fluid compressor. <P>SOLUTION: A motor housing 11 and a pump housing 14 are integrally assembled through a partition wall 12 and a bearing block 16, and a driving shaft 23 of an electric motor 29 in the motor chamber 13 is connected with a driving rotor 33 in a pump chamber 17 so as to pass through the partition wall 12 and the bearing block 16. The motor chamber 13 is filled with inactive gas G. CONSTITUTION: A scroll compressor has a plurality of scrolls, and the tip surface of at least one of the scroll laps is formed rough so as to reduce the leak of a compressed fluid generated when it intersects the scroll from the high pressure to low pressure side. That is, the tip surface of scroll lap is furnished with mechanical serration (cut-in 18), cavity, fibers, etc., so that a rough surface is formed along the contacting surface where the fluid leaking from the high pressure to low pressure side must pass.
