PURPOSE:To operate a sewing machine even in the event of a fault of a needle position detecting measns, by providing a means for generaring an abnormal signal in accordance with existence of a position signal in a prescribed rotary angle of a main shaft of a sewing machine. CONSTITUTION:A sewing machine 2 connects a pulley 3 which has been fixed to a main shaft, to a motor 4 with a belt 5, and moves a needle up and down. Between the main shaft and a sewing machine frame are placed a needle position detecting part for detecting each rotary angle of the main shaft corresponding to the upper and lower positions of the needle, and a detecting mechanism 6 having a pulse generation part for generating a prescribed number of pulses in one rotation of the main shaft, synchronizing with the main shaft. An upper and lower position detecting signal of the detecting mechanism 6, and a pulse signal are sent to a microcompouter MC, the pulse signal is counted after the upper and lower position detecting signal is inputted, and when a count value before the next position signal is inputted exceeds a constant value, an abnormal signal is generated, and the motor 4 is stopped. |

PURPOSE:To stop the motor at the fixed location positively by simple circuit constitution by a method wherein the drawing of drive signals is stopped in response to the detection of the fixed location while the drive signals are drawn in response to the detection of positioning except the fixed location. CONSTITUTION:When the motor 1 is stopped at an upper end location of a sewing- machine needle, a rotation indicating switch 12 is turned OFF first, and stoppage is indicated. When a permanent magnet 7 of a rotatory disc 6 and a reed switch 8 are not located under corresponding relationship (the sewing-machine needle is not positioned at the upper end location), the OFF signals of the reed switch 8 continue a set condition of a flip-flop through an OR gate 9, and hold the ON of an AND gate 13, and the motor 1 is turned by means of a revolution speed indicating circuit 14. When the permanent magnet 7 and the reed switch 8 are located under corresponding relationship, the ON signals of the reed switch 8 reset the flip-flop 10 through an inverter 11, thus the AND gate 13 is turned OFF, then the motor 1 is stopped at a fixed location. |

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine and a sewing machine control program allowing a user to practice sewing.
SOLUTION: This sewing machine is provided with a "regular mode" for actuating a needle bar equipped with a sewing needle and executing a regular sewing, and a "practice mode" for vertically actuating a presser foot without actuating the needle bar. The sewing machine has a mode switch and switches between the regular mode and the practice mode. When a sewing stop switch is not operated (S22: NO) and the "practice mode" is set (S23: YES), then this machine executes a practice sewing control processing. In the practice sewing control processing, at first, the presser foot is lowered. After executing a wait processing for a prescribed time, the presser foot is raised to finish the processing and the sewing machine is returned to a sewing processing. During this period, no sewing motor is actuated, no sewing needle is operated and no sewing is executed.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smooth sewing regardless of the thickness of a binding cloth.
SOLUTION: A binding sewing machine comprises: a cloth feeding mechanism 20 for feeding the binding cloth and a body cloth; a sewing machine main shaft motor for driving the cloth feeding mechanism; a binder 30 turned along a cloth feeding direction for making the binding cloth B follow thereto; a needle vertical movement mechanism 40 for locating a needle near the downstream side of the binder; a center blade mechanism 50 for forming a straight cut S to the cloth on the downstream side of a sewing needle; and a corner blade mechanism for forming cuts V in the almost chevron shape. The binder is provided with a guide member 33 for evading a center blade 51 at the end on the downstream side, a center blade mechanism 50 is provided with a driving source 57 different from the main shaft motor of the sewing machine, and more separated arrangement is attained. The binding sewing machine is provided with an operation control means 80 for performing the operation control of continuously driving the driving source of the center blade mechanism until the cloth is fed by a distance which is evaluated by subtracting the length D of the cut in the almost chevron shape from a distance L from the sewing needle to the end on the upstream side in the cloth feeding direction of the center blade after the formation of a stitch T.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable taking out of an embroidering frame 4 accurately from the body of the device after the cutting of yarns linked between the embroidering frame 4 and a working cassette 5.
SOLUTION: An engaging groove formed near an angle part of the working cassette 5 is fitted onto a pin shaft protruding sideways at the tip part of an oscillating arm pivoted on the side of the surface of a front plate while the tip of an engaging member rotatably installed at the oscillating arm is engaged with a mating part on the rear end side of the working cassette to maintain attitudes thereof so that the working cassette is engaged or disengaged by an operating member pivoted on the front plate. A yarn cutting means arranged on the side of the rear of the front plate is made to interlink the operation of engaging or disengaging the working cassette by the operating member. With the action of the operating member after the completion of the cutting of yarns, a signal of a limit switch 170 provided on the front plate is shifted to off from on (S23) and thereafter, when the taking out of the embroidering frame 4 is necessary (S24: yes), the embroidering frame 4 is advanced to the position that allows taking out of the embroidering frame 4.
