PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly sense the yarn breakage or off-specification of spun yarn by measuring the time of rotation of a yarn leg in an opening of a tubular yarn guide vertically moving in a spinning pot. SOLUTION: A yarn leg 11 on the outside of an opening 4 of a yarn guide tube 3 is observed with a sensor device such as a photodetector 12 and the sensor device is connected through a pulse forming stage 13 to a monoflop 14 and an output 15 from the monoflop 14 is connected to a locking device 9. When the yarn breakage occurs or the yarn quality is changed to an impermissible extent, the output 15 of the monoflop 14 is changed over until the next trigger pulse attains. A lock 21 of the locking device 9 is released to drop a rewinding sleeve 8 to a position 16.

PURPOSE:To start spinning surely and smoothly, by setting a specific false twisting nozzle between a thread guide pipe to introduce yarn into a pot and a draft part and operating the false twisting nozzle only in starting of spinning. CONSTITUTION:In a pot type spinning machine wherein fleece F sent from front rollers 3a and 3b of a draft part 1 is introduced from a thread guide pipe 13 to the interior of a pot 5 rotating at high speed to form a package P1 in pot in the inner wall of the pot, a false twisting nozzle 10 producing suction air flow to introduce the fleece F to the thread guide pipe 13 is set between the front rollers 3a and 3b and the thread guide pipe 13 and an intake vent of a pneumatic clearer 17 is laid in the vicinity of the front roller 3a. Only the false twisting nozzle 10 is operated in starting of spinning, the operation of the false twisting nozzle 10 is stopped and the clearer 17 is made in a suction operation in usual spinning operation.
