In a process for the preparation of crosslinking components for cationic paint binders, these crosslinking components are products of the reaction of hydroxyl-functional carbamate compounds obtained in a known manner by reacting cyclic organic carbonates with aliphatic monoamines and/or diamines and/or triamines and/or tetraamines and/or alkanolamines containing primary and/or secondary amino groups, with mono-blocked diisocyanates. …?>In combination with resin components carrying hydroxyl groups and/or primary or secondary amino groups, preferably with those based on epoxide/amine adducts or products containing similar molecular units, the crosslinking components prepared according to the invention give binders which can be baked even at temperatures as low as 140 DEG C. |

PURPOSE: To obtain the titled compound useful for forming a polyamideurethane separating layer by reacting a hydroxy-substituted isophthalic acid and phosgene thereby forming a reverse osmosis membrane exhibiting high solute rejection and an excellent permeation rate.
CONSTITUTION: A hydroxy-substituted isophthalic acid and phosgene are heated in the presence of a catalyst (e.g. imidazole) in a solvent (e.g. a chlorinated benzene) under a spontaneous pressure, and the mixture is treated to remove the solvent and distilled to obtain chloroformyloxysubstituted isophthaloyl chloride. The reverse osmosis is a well known method for purifying a brine, where a pressure exceeding an osmotic pressure of a brine feed solution is applied to the feed solution to separate pure water by means of a selectively osmotic semipermeable membrane, whereby pure water is diffused through the membrane while salts and other impurities are retained by the membrane.

PURPOSE: To prepare a reverse osmosis membrane excellent in solute rejection and permeability by casting a polymer solution on a support body to form a porous polymer base material, treating the same with a multi-functional amine to form an embedded base material, and then forming into a separating layer of polyamideurethane by a haloformyloxy-substituted acyl halide solution.
CONSTITUTION: A polymer solution such as a dimethylformamide solution of polysulfone or the like is cast onto a support body of polyester, polypropylene or the like to form a micro-porous polymer base material, followed by treating with a multi-functional amine such as m-phenyldiamine or the like to form an embedded base material. The base material is further treated with a haloformyloxy-substituted acyl halide such as 5-chloroformylisopthaloyl chloride or the like to produce a reverse osmosis membrane excellent in solution rejection and solvent permeability.
