A clearing vehicle comprises a supporting frame (3) and a sweeper-blower arrangement (4), which is adjustably pivotable around a vertical axis (5) which runs through the clearing vehicle with respect to the supporting frame (3) and comprises a blow-air device (8). Furthermore, a blower (6) is arranged at the supporting frame (3), wherein blow-air is conducted from the blower (6) through the hollow body (7) to the blow-air device (8). The hollow body (7) and the blow-air device (8) are brought in blow-air connection by a first pivoting movement from a transport position to a working position. The blow-air connection between the hollow body (7) and the blow-air device (8) is removed by a second pivoting movement from the working position to the transport position.

A self-propelled snowthrower wherein, in one embodiment, drive members on each side of the snowthrower provide variable speed propulsion. A transmission that delivers power to the drive members may be adapted to de-clutch one of the two drive wheels when the ground speed of that wheel exceeds the driving speed of the transmission. In other embodiments, the snowthrower includes a rotor having a snow ejection surface forming a negative rake angle. Yet other embodiments include a chute rotation control mechanism that permits manual discharge chute rotation via one-handed input.

The present invention relates to a method and system for expeditious snowplow mounting in which a light beam source, such as a laser pointer, is used for aligning a vehicle to a target on the snowplow. The light beam source can be a laser pointer. The light beam source can be removably attached to a portion of the vehicle, such as a dashboard of the vehicle. The target preferably can be attached to the snowplow at a position above the hood of the vehicle substantially horizontal to the light beam source. For example, the target can be mounted to the back of a headlight of a snowplow system. Alternatively, a guide bar can extend vertically from the snowplow system to rise above the hood of the vehicle. The guide bar can serve as the target or a target can be attached to the guide bar.

A chassis frame is supported on a front steering axle and a rear steering axle. Between the two axles and beneath the chassis frame, a hollow support serving as a main blow duct is pivotingly disposed. Raisably and lowerably connected to the support via levers is a sweeping-brush roller. Connected to the support are blowing nozzles which lead air supplied by a fan mounted on the chassis frame into a blow duct formed by a cover plate disposed in front of the sweeping-brush roller. Disposed within the blow duct are two suction ports which are connected via dirt-suction pipes to a vacuum-sweepings container disposed on the chassis frame. The outlet of the vacuum-sweeings container is connected at a dismantling point to an air-suction duct which is in turn connected to the intake of the fan. This cleaning vehicle can be used for snow clearance by opening a flap and closing another flap in an air-outlet pipe piece and by moving an operating lever from a middle position into either of two end positions.

A device (200) for collecting debris has a wheeled frame (212) movable over a ground surface. An endless belt (232) runs about a rear by roller (224) and a forward support member (222) on the frame (212) such that an undersurface of a lower run (234) of the belt engages the ground surface as the device traverses the ground surface. The belt (232) is driven such that the lower run (234) moves forwardly with respect to the speed of movement of the device (200) over the ground surface. At the lower run (234) of belt, debris on the ground surface passes through apertures in the belt (232) to be deposited on the upper surface of the lower run (234), and is then transported on the belt (232) to a collection receptacle (300) carried by the device (200).
