Each fence post includes an engaging mechanism at a first end thereof, which is adapted to release from a substrate surface in the event of rising water or flood, and, a retaining mechanism at a second end thereof to retain the post near its pre-released position, such that the fence posts may be easily re-installed after the flood has passed.
108 Apparatus and method for efficiently fabricating, dismantling and storing a porous tubular windblown particle control device US10961849 2004-10-07 US07048474B2 2006-05-23 Ronald D. Tabler
A windblown particle control device which, when attached to the surface of the earth assumes a generally tubular cross-sectional shape, stabilizes particle cover and controls deposition and retention of windblown particles. A sheet of netting material is curved in an arched configuration. Webs of the sheet are linked together to define apertures through the sheet. The apertures create aerodynamic effects in the wind which stabilize, deposit and retain the particles on the earth surface. A kit of components, which includes the netting sheet and a plurality of frame structures to support and maintain the netting sheet in the arched configuration may be employed to assemble the control device for use.
109 Beach restoration and regeneration systems, methods and compositions US10674035 2003-09-29 US06955505B2 2005-10-18 William H. Winters; Steve M. Ghormley; Roger D. Oldigs
A variety of types of wood matter may be used as a starter material. The starter material is processed into wood pieces in the range of about twenty mesh to six inches to form a base product. The base product is installed in windrows along the beach. A fence may be installed between the windrow(s) and the water.

A wave barrier for protecting users and their possessions at a beach location close to the water from becoming wet from waves crashing into their location. The wave barrier includes a flexible wall sheet with a plurality of spaced apart elongate poles coupled thereto. The lower ends of the poles are downwardly extended from a bottom edge of the wall sheet. The proximal edge of a ground sheet is coupled to the wall sheet along the bottom edge of the wall sheet.
111 Pre-engineered vertical wall structure constructed entirely or prefabricated wood US259098 1999-02-26 US06123169A 2000-09-26 Timothy R. Borris; Barry W. Holden
An out-of-doors prefabricated, pre-engineered vertical wall structure constructed entirely of pressure treated wood and comprised of successive individual wall sections tightly arranged in an end-to-end pattern. Supporting rectangular posts join immediately adjacent wall sections together end-to-end and occupy the entire space between the sections, each of the posts having flat surfaces facing the ends of immediately adjacent wall sections on opposite sides of the post with upright pairs of spaced cants secured to said flat surfaces so as to form upright channels extending upwardly from top to bottom on the posts, each pair of cants being spaced apart to receive one end of one of said wall sections in a tight relation between said cants.
112 Accident shield device US848180 1997-04-29 US6036249A 2000-03-14 William Kuntz
The present invention is a low cost, easy to operate, and ever handy device of blocking views of accidents, stalled cars or other incidents. This is accomplished by an accident shield device unit installed in the trunk of official vehicles which can be assembled by a single person in a few minutes. The unit consists of a screen which is large enough to prevent most passersby (motorists or pedestrians) from viewing the scene. As a result, this device aids in maintaining traffic flow and safety by preserving the natural momentum of traffic and keeping other drivers focused on traffic conditions, rather than the accident scene or stalled vehicle.
113 Flotation flood wall US94643 1998-06-15 US5984577A 1999-11-16 William P. Strong
A flood barrier wall consisting of a flexible tubular flood chamber, skirts and an air-filled flotation collar. In its unexpanded and deflated mode the device is relegated to a substantially flattened condition which can be folded, rolled up or placed on a spindle for ease of transport and rapid deployment at a flood site. Deployment consists of placing the barrier on the anticipated flood site, weighting and fastening the skirts to the ground and inflating the collar. As rising flood water enters the flood chamber it expands said chamber, resulting in an effective flood barrier.
114 Water-bag dam or dike and method US882081 1986-07-03 US4692060A 1987-09-08 James G. Jackson, III
A water-bag dam or dike comprises elongate tubes adapted to be filled with water. The tubes have three equal sides and are supported by longitudinal and lateral support members so that, when filled with water, they assume the shape of a substantially equilateral, triangular prism. The tubes can be stacked to make a dam or dike twice as tall and wide on the individual tubes. The tubes and support members can be transported to a flood situs and there be erected into an effective dam or dike just by filling the tubes with water.
115 Railroad track switch covers and heater US788791 1985-10-18 US4671475A 1987-06-09 Stanley W. Widmer
A heat retaining and snow deflecting cover assembly for railroad track switches is made up of panels that prevent snow and ice from building up in the regions where the switching rails must move. An inner panel assembly is mounted between the switching rails near the entry point of the track switch. Outer panels are secured along the outer sides of the main tracks. The panels also retain heat generated by conventional heaters. Deflecting panels are secured at both ends of the inner panel assembly to guide snow inwardly to the center of the track and away from the switching rails. The cover assembly is easily installed for winter use and removed when no snow is present.
116 Sound-absorbing fence US3630310D 1970-10-06 US3630310A 1971-12-28 FEDERER KURT
Sideline noise generated by airplanes on a runway, and noise generated by vehicles on a road may be contained by a fence essentially consisting of a supporting framework, a solid upright backing panel on the framework, and a layer of sound-absorbing foamed urea-formaldehyde or other plastic foam retained on the face of the plate directed toward the source of the noise by a screen of fabric, plastic, or metal practically transparent to the sound. A roof upwardly closes the space between the backing panel and the screen which is practically completely filled with the plastic foam.
117 Mailbox protector US16001150 2018-06-06 US10448772B1 2019-10-22 Judith Fiore
A mailbox protection device is provided. The device may include an angular deflection surface. The angular deflection surface may include a first planar deflection panel and a second planar deflection panel contiguous along a linear vertex. The linear vertex may be directed toward, for example, oncoming traffic to deflect impacting snow away from a mailbox. The impacting snow may come from passing snowplows, for instance. The device may also include a receiving channel. The receiving channel can be defined in the linear vertex extending through the device from an opening at a top end of the linear vertex to an opening at a bottom end of the linear vertex. The receiving channel may receivably cooperate with a known fence post to anchor the device in the ground.

The roof and/or sidewall is/are assembled by prefabricated plates built up on one hand by a solar converter system. Mechanical stability, thermal isolation as well as acoustical absorption according to the needs in context with the addressed arrangement is established on the other hand by a layer system of the plate. The layer system is firmly fixed to the solar converter system of the prefabricated plate.
