PURPOSE: To prolong the life of a catalyst in a denitrifying reactor or the like operated at high dust concentration, in an exhaust gas-purifier for a coal-burning boiler, by locating a secondary dust-collector at the upperstream side of the denitrifier. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of axial-flow straight-driving cyclones 9 are located in a flue 6 at the upperstream side of a denitrifying reactor 2, and a hopper 8 to collect dust separated by the cyclones 9 is located at the bottom of the flue 6. As a result, larger-particle size dust which has a substantial influence on the abrasion of a catalyst is preremoved by the secondary dust-collector composed of the arranged cyclones 9, so that the life of the catalyst is prolonged. Moreover, the height of the reactor 2 can be decreased by the arrangement of the secondary dust-collector. PURPOSE: To provide a small size equipment with enhanced dust collecting efficiency and reduced pressure loss by a mechanism wherein a cylindrical body forming a vortex chamber having circular sectional area and horizontal axial line is provided to a cyclon dust collector, and gas guided in the tangent direction is spirally passed in the direction of axial line. CONSTITUTION: Gas which contains powder is introduced from the inlet duct 1 into the vortex chamber 3 of the cylindrical body 2 in the direction of tangent. The gas revolves along the guide plate 10 without causing turbulent flow and is discharged from the outlet duct 5. The gas vortex causes pressure to be reduced around the opening zone 12 at the downstream of a vortex direction as compared with the opening zone 11 at the upstream of vortex direction. This causes part of vortex gas to be passed from the opening 11 through the spaces 14a, 14b between the collector guide plate 13 and the internal wall 8a of the hollow conical body 8 provided at the lower part of the cylinder 2. The gas further passes through the spaces 16a, 16b formed by the guide plate 13, the internal walls 8a, 8b, and 8c, and the vortex guide plate 10, then the gas is sucked in the opening 12. Centrifugal force causes powder in the gas to be located near the internal wall of the cylinder 2 at high concentration and falled through the space 14a, 14b to be separated. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boiling water reactor that reduces the difference between the water level at a position of the central axis of a reactor pressure vessel and that on the periphery of it by suppressing the lowering of the strength of a shroud head. SOLUTION: In the boiling water reactor 1, steam separators 6 are laid out inside a cylindrical steam dryer skirt 19 above the shroud head 5 in the reactor pressure vessel 2. Stand pipes 7 of the steam separators 6 are mounted on the shroud head 5. The cross-sectional shapes of the stand pipes 7 are streamline, and pre-heads 16, the tips of the streamlines, are laid out toward the central axis of the reactor pressure vessel 2. The cross-sectional shapes of the stand pipes 7 are streamlined and the tips of the streamlines are oriented to the central axis of the reactor pressure vessel 2, so that the geometrical loss of the stand pipes 7 can be reduced, thereby reducing the difference between the water level 24 in the vicinity of the central axis of the reactor pressure vessel 2 and the water level 25 at a position on the inside surface of the steam dryer skirt 19.
