CONSTITUTION: The biological slurry 6 contg. nitrifying bacteria and denitrifying bacteria in the 1st denitrification tank 2 which treats org. waste water 1 such as night soil or the like is supplied into an absorption tower 4. The malodorous gases 5 produced from water treatment facilities are supplied into this tower 4, and are brought into gas- liquid contact with the slurry 6 so that the malodorous components are absorbed in the slurry 6. The slurry 7 wherein the malodorous components are absorbed are discharged and dropped onto the water surface of a nitrifying tank 8, so that oxygen indispensable to activation of nitrifying bacteria and malodorous component nitrifying bacteria is supplied by aeration effect. While the slurry 7 wherein the malodorous components are absorbed stagnate in the tank 8, the nitrogen component type malodorous components in the gases 5 are biologically nitrified. The other malodorous components such as aldehyde, hydrogen sulfide, etc. are decomposed by malodorous component nitrifying bacteria.
