CONSTITUTION: Bottom surface 1 of the treating tank of this invention is shaped in the form of c one or pyramid having a vertical angle of 60W120° or otherwise it is formed to have such a curvature that a tangential line passing a point where a horizontal plane passing 1/2 height point of the bottom surface portion intersects the bottom surface forms an angle of 15W60° to the verticle line. Waste water is supplied through conduit 3 and ejected from injection nozzle 4 toward the central portion of bottom surface 1, and then it is discharged from outlet nozzle 2. With such an arrangement, it is possible to eliminate portions in the tank where particles contained in waste water tend to stay or be stagnated and thus to attain stable operation of the system. Moreover, it is possible to inspect injection nozzle 4 readily during operation, and a plurality of such tanks can be connected with ease, so that enlargement and reduction of the system can be attained in a simple manner.
