CONSTITUTION: The pulverulent body 120 of an alkaline (earth) metal compound, an absorbent, is added to the raw material waste 119 and the blend is compressed by the compression zone of the tapered screw feeder 104 so that the absorbent is packed between the waste. The compressed waste is fed to the pyrolysis furnace 101 so that the pyrolysis starts from its outside. The absorbent comes out gradually with the pyrolysis of the waste and discharged out of the furnace together with the flow of the pyrolysis gas. The waste moves in the whole area of fluidized bed with the motion of the fluid medium, and the absorbent is distributed in the whole area of fluidized bed. Thus, the reaction between emitted toxic gases and the absorbent is carried out in the whole area to improve an absorption ratio.
