CONSTITUTION: The result of comparison of a comparison signal C from an analog/digital(A/D) converter section 1 with respect to analog input signals I1, I2 at analog comparators 2, 3 is selected by a selection circuit 4 based on an input selecting signal B. The output of the circuit 4 is successively approximated by a successive approximation logic circuit 5 and outputs of the comparators 2, 3 are subject to coincidence processing by a coincidence logic circuit 10 and the result is latched by a latch circuit 8 by using a latch signal D. On the other hand, a preset signal E presets a value of the circuit 8 to a pointer 6 and the result of conversion of the circuit 5 is restored again to an analog value by the conversion section 1 via a conversion result register 11 to obtain the signal C. Thus, the in the case of conversion of the signal I1, the comparison of the signal I2 is implemented to save number of times of the comparison thereby reducing the entire conversion time.
