CONSTITUTION: Three components, that is, a carbonaceous substance selected from graphite such as natural graphite, carbon black such as furnace black, a carbon fiber and activated carbon, a thermosetting resin such as a phenol resin and fragrance, for example, hydrocarbonaceous fragrance such as α-pinene or alcoholic fragrance such as menthol are compounded as essential components. Subsequently, a porous substance increasing aromaticity, a plasticizer, a stabilizer, fire retardant or the like are added to three essential components to be sufficiently mixed therewith by a ball mill and the resulting mixture is molded by an arbitrary molding method such as calender molding or extrusion molding to prepare a molded product. By this method, an aromatic material excellent in heat resistance, having no aromaticity at the ambient temp. and developing aromaticity upon heating can be obtained and shows extremely marked industrial effects.
