CONSTITUTION: A powder mixture 1 formed by mixing powder consisting essentially of metallic or alloy powder is passed through a pair of powder rolls 9 from a hopper 2 and is thereby compressed so that a belt-like green compact 10 is continuously formed. The green compact 10 is then passed through a sintering furnace 11 to form a sintered body 12 which is recompressed, if necessary, on the surface of surface layer alone by compressing rolls 13. The sintered body 12 is subjected to electrodeposition painting in a water soluble paint so that a paint coated film 14 is formed on the surface without closing the tips of the voids 14b among the particles 15 of the body 12. The paint coated film 14 is baked and therafter an aromatic liquid is vacuum-impregnated in the voids 14b.
