CONSTITUTION: In plating to form black film, NH
3 is added to a key plating soln. contg. stannous salt such as stannous chloride, Ni salt such as nickel chloride or alkali metal salt of glucoheptonic acid such as gluconic acid or sodium gluconate as principal components, said stannous salt and Ni salt being respectively 1W25g/ l in terms of metallic tin and 4W25g/l in terms of metallic Ni, in order to adjust the pH to 7W10; thus Sn-Ni alloy plating is performed. Hereby a plating film having uniform black luster, excellent resistance to corrosion and discoloration is formed at over wide range of current density. This method allows to facilitate the waste water treatment bacause it contains no harmful substances.
