CONSTITUTION: A horizontal tread 3 is formed in an inverted L-shape integrally with a vertical riser 4 to form an inverted L-member 1. Mounting pieces 5 each having a mounting hole 5a are respectively formed to the two side edges of the riser 3 and the tread 4. A vertical hole 6 is formed in the rear edge of the tread 3, and a horizontal piece 7 protruding frontward is formed to the lower end of the riser 4. A mounting hole 8 positioned facing the mounting piece 5 is formed in a side plate 2. Assembly is made in procedures such that a bolt is first inserted in the mounting hole 5a of the inverted L-member 1 and the mounting hole 8 of the side plate 2 and joined. The vertical piece 6 of the inverted L-member 1 is placed on the horizontal piece 7 of the joined inverted L-member 1 and the mounting piece 5 is joined with the side beams 2 by means of bolts. Stairs are formed, in order, as described manner. This constitution facilitates assembly at a side and improves work-executing ability.
