12 precursor such as choline etc., and mineral, etc., and cultured at 25W50°C and 5.5W8.0 pH under anaerobic condition. The cultivation is carried out to proliferate the bacterial cells mainly at the former cultivation stage and to produce and accumulate vitamin B
12 in the bacterial cell at the latter cultivation stage. The bacterial cells are separated by centrifugal separation and the vitamin B
12 is extracted from the cell.
