-3 of a pyrrole (A) (e.g., pyrrole), a photosensitizer (B) (e.g., thionine) which can show an electrode potential higher than the rise potential of the oxidation current of the pyrrole in an excited state and 0.001W2mol. dm
-3 of an electrolyte (C) (e.g., FeSO
4 ) comprising a simple or double salt having at least one kind of a cation which, among oxidation-reduction pairs having a standard electrode potential intermediate between those of A and B, has a smaller oxidation number in a solvent (D) (e.g., water). Component A is polymerized by sensitized oxidation by irradiating the solution with light having a wavelength in the range of the absorption spectrum of component B for 3W6hr.
