PREPARATION: An amide derivative shown by the formula V is reacted with a chloroacetyl halogenide shown by the formula ClCH
2 COZ (Z is halogen) to give a compound shown by the formula I. In the reaction, generally a little excess of the compound shown by the formula ClCH
2 COZ is used. The compound shown by the formula I has extremely long suitable period of application and advantageously applicable to paddy rice plant by direct sowing in flooded paddy field safely.
