5 ) which are germicides capable of exhibiting a selective powerful germicidal effect on chemical-resistant germs and one or more benzimidazole or thiophanate germicides, e.g. methyl 1-(butylcarbamoyl) benzimidazole-2-ylcarbamate of formula II, used as an agricultural and horticultural germicide, capable of exhibiting improved controlling effects on various pathogenic germs parasitic on agricultural and horticultural crops, and having a great yield increasing effect on the crops as active constituents. The composition has high safety for men, cattle and fishes without giving the phytotoxicity to the agricultural useful crops.
