CONSTITUTION: The objective miticide contains, as active components, a mixture of an antibiotic substance kasugamycin or its salt and machine oil exhibiting rapid killing action against mite at a high concentration. The kasugamycin is a water-soluble weakly basic antibiotic substance having strong controlling effect to rice blast and produced by Streptomyces kasugaensis which is a kind of actinomycetes. The combined use of both components enables rapid and long-acting effect at low concentrations insufficient to develop miticidal effect by the separate use of each component. The synergistic effect of both components becomes highest after a long period. The miticide has ovicidal, larvicidal and imagocidal activities at the same time and can control mites over a long period by single application.
