153 CONTACT MANAGEMENT AND COMMUNICATION PCT/US2011/021950 2011-01-20 WO2011091187A1 2011-07-28 ISAACSON, Cory; ZLOGAR, Al

A system and method for managing contact information is provided. In one implementation, for example, a method comprises accessing a contact record associated with a user of a user communication device, the contact record comprising at least one originating identifier identifying the user communication device and at least one contact field identifying contact information of a contact associated with the user. A contact record map is generated in which an alias identifier is assigned for the contact record. A destination identifier is selected from a plurality of available destination identifiers and assigned to the contact associated with the user. The assigned destination identifier is unique with respect to other contacts associated with the user. The alias identifier and the destination identifier are mapped to the origination identifier identifying the user communication device within the contact record map.

155 Cachability attributes of virtual addresses for optimizing performance of virtually and physically indexed caches in maintaining multiply aliased physical addresses US391389 1995-02-27 US6006312A 1999-12-21 Leslie Kohn; Ken Okin; Dale Greenley
A separate cacheable-in-virtual-cache attribute bit (CV) is maintained for each page of memory in the translation table maintained by the operating system. The CV bit indicates whether the memory addresses on the page to which the translation table entry refers are cacheable in virtually indexed caches. According to a first embodiment, when there are two or more aliases which are not offset by multiples of the virtual cache size, all of the aliases are made non-cacheable in virtually indexed caches by deasserting the CV bits for all aliases. With regards to the contents of the translation lookaside buffer (TLB), the translations for all aliases may simultaneously coexist in the TLB because no software intervention is required to insure data coherency between the aliases. According to second and third embodiments of the present invention, when there are two or more aliases which are not offset by multiples of the virtual cache size, only one of those aliases may remain cacheable in virtual caches. For the other aliases, the CV bits for the translation pages containing those aliases are deasserted. The operating system has the responsibility of flushing data from the virtually indexed internal cache before deasserting the CV attribute for a page. The second embodiment allows the newer mapping to a physical address to remain in the first-level cache, while the third embodiment allows the older alias to remain in the first-level cache when a newer alias is mapped.

Technologies are described herein for coreference resolution in an ambiguity-sensitive natural language processing system. Techniques for integrating reference resolution functionality into a natural language processing system can processes documents to be indexed within an information search and retrieval system. Ambiguity awareness features, as well as ambiguity resolution functionality, can operate in coordination with coreference resolution. Annotation of coreference entities, as well as ambiguous interpretations, can be supported by in-line markup within text content or by external entity maps. Information expressed within documents can be formally organized in terms of facts, or relationships between entities in the text. Expansion can support applying multiple aliases, or ambiguities, to an entity being indexed so that all of the possibly references or interpretations for that entity are captured into the index. Alternative stored descriptions can support retrieval of a fact by either the original description or a coreferential description.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow each switch to provide the routing of a data packet among a CPU node, an I/O node and a memory node in a dispersion-type multi-node computer system. SOLUTION: Each switch is connected to a network interface controller (NIC) through the corresponding I/O node for data packet transfer on the network. Each NIC is mapped on the memory map. A part of a system address space forms a transmission window by each NIC connected to the corresponding switch. Each PIO writing does not depend on the writing on short notice to determine the destination of the transfer of the data packet. By using 'address aliasing', the CPU writing to the aliasized part of an NIC transmission window is directed to the NIC connected to the same switch as that of the CPU which did the write, at all times. Embodiments of the invention provide a system and method for using aliases, such as mobile telephone numbers, email addresses, and social networking identifications, to identify a payment recipient's account involved in a payment transaction. Some embodiments of the method include: (1) receiving a payment request from a payment sender via a communication from a remote device, where the payment request includes an alias, and where the alias is not an account number; (2) using a processor to identify a payment recipient's financial account based at least partially on the alias; and (3) transferring funds from the payment sender's account to the payment recipient's account. Identifying the payment recipient's financial account based on the alias may include accessing a memory device having a data repository stored therein that maps each of a plurality of aliases back to a financial account number, and then using the data repository in combination with the alias to identify the payment recipient's financial account number.
160 ADDRESSING REMOTE DATA OBJECTS VIA A COMPUTER NETWORK PCT/GB2001/002269 2001-05-22 WO01090936A3 2002-05-16
A system is described for mapping a secondary address to a primary address. The secondary address is used as an alias for the primary address and the primary address references a remote data object, such as an internet web page. The secondary address has a prefix portion that is used to direct a mapping request to a remote database storing mapping data and then a suffix portion of the secondary address is used to index within that remote database to identify the primary address. The primary address and the secondary address may be internet URL addresses. A local cache within a user device may be provided, such as in the form of a browser plug-in. Once the mapping has taken place to establish the link between a secondary address and a primary address, thereafter communication can take place directly between the user device and the target without requiring further mapping.
