Embodiments provide a system operatively connected with a block chain distributed network and for using the block chain distributed network for mapping aliases. Embodiments create an alias-token pair linking an alias associated with a customer to a token associated with an account owned by the customer; and map the alias-token pair to an address associated with the customer on a directory services (DS) block chain. In some cases, the system manages alias- token lifecycle including enabling editing and deleting the alias-token pair mapped to the address. In some cases, the system registers the address of the customer with the DS block chain. Such registering may include receiving a selection from the customer regarding desired node for registering the customer address; connecting with the DS block chain; and creating an account associated with the customer including creating a unique address associated with the customer and registering it with the DS block chain.

128 Cachability attributes for virtual addresses in virtually and physically indexed caches EP96630011.3 1996-02-22 EP0729102A2 1996-08-28 Kohn, Leslie; Okin, Ken; Greenley, Dale

A separate cachable-in-virtual-cache attribute bit (CV) is maintained for each page of memory in the translation table maintained by the operating system. The CV bit indicates whether the memory addresses on the page to which the translation table entry refers are cachable in virtually indexed caches. According to a first embodiment, when there are two or more aliases which are not offset by multiples of the virtual cache size, all of the aliases are made non-cachable in virtually indexed caches by deasserting the CV bits for all aliases. With regards to the contents of the translation lookaside buffer (TLB), the translations for all aliases may simultaneously coexist in the TLB because no software intervention is required to insure data coherency between the aliases. According to second and third embodiments of the present invention, when there are two or more aliases which are not offset by multiples of the virtual cache size, only one of those aliases may remain cachable in virtual caches. For the other aliases, the CV bits for the translation pages containing those aliases are deasserted. The operating system has the responsibility of flushing data from the virtually indexed internal cache before deasserting the CV attribute for a page. The second embodiment allows the newer mapping to a physical address is allowed to remain in the first level cache, while the third embodiment allows the older alias to remain in the first level cache when a newer alias is mapped.

130 Method for controlling interrupt generation in a communication device EP03011825.1 2000-02-29 EP1347615A2 2003-09-24 Gentry, Denton

The invention provides a polling process software module operating on a host computer which polls a network interface by examining a virtual or "alias" register (602) that mirrors the network interface's status register (502). Such an alias register serves as an alternative path (e.g. address) by which to read the status register. Therefore, when an indicator (504-508) changes state to indicate a specific event or condition in the network interface, the corresponding indicator (604-608) in the alias register also changes. When the network interface is polled, if an indicator in the alias register is set to a state indicating the transfer of a packet, the polling module processes the waiting packet(s). Because the polling module reads the alias register instead of the status register, the alias register is cleared each time the polling module reads the network interface. When the alias register is cleared, one or more indicators in the status register may also be cleared, as determined by a programmable mask (610). The value in each mask entry determines whether an associated status register indicator is cleared when a corresponding alias register indicator is cleared.

132 Method and device for image rendering JP11727794 1994-05-30 JPH07134776A 1995-05-23 ROOMAN KUTSUKUKUDA; JIYON RIGU; MANIYUERU REI ENRIKEEZU; JIEEMUSU BUI HENSON; KAATO SUTERII
PURPOSE:To provide the method and device for visual image rendering for eliminating the alias and for transparency. CONSTITUTION:The method is composed of the alias elimination/pixel blend/ pipeline technology. The parallel rendering pipeline executes the interpolation of the polygon edge, pixel blend and alias elimination rendering. The primitive polygon is converted into a sub pixel coordinate sliced and diced, resulting in generating the 'pixlink' elements being mapped on each pixel. A frame buffer memory 38 stores many pixlinks for each pixel. The Z sorting is made not necessary by the list data object to be linked for each pixlink vector of the pixel struck. All picture data for X,Y, Z, R, G, and B and for the pixel coverage A are held in the pixlink data object and the blending processing is applicable for the alias elimination and for the transparency.

Embodiments of the invention provide systems and methods for creating a financial account alias data repository to be used to identify payee accounts in payment transactions. For example, an embodiment of the method includes: (1) receiving a communication comprising an alias that is not a financial account number; and (2) using a processor to store the alias in memory and create a data repository in the memory that maps the alias to a particular financial account such that the alias can be used by others instead of a financial account number to transfer money to the particular financial account associated with the alias. The alias may include, for example, a telephone number, email address, or social networking identifier of the financial account owner.
135 ASSIGNING EFFICIENTLY REFERENCED GLOBALLY UNIQUE IDENTIFIERS IN A MULTI-CORE ENVIRONMENT PCT/EP2010/069511 2010-12-13 WO2011080057A1 2011-07-07 BELLOWS, Gregory, Howard; DALE, Jason, Nathaniel; HORTON, Brian; MADRUGA, Joaquin

A mechanism is provided in a multi-core environment for assigning a globally unique core identifier. A Power PC® processor unit (PPU) determines an index alias corresponding to a natural index to a location in local storage (LS) memory. A synergistic processor unit (SPU) corresponding to the PPU translates the natural index to a first address in a core's memory, as well as translates the index alias to a second address in the core's memory. Responsive to the second address exceeding a physical memory size, the load store unit of the SPU truncates the second address to a usable range of address space in systems that do not map an address space. The second address and the first address point to the same physical location in the core's memory. In addition, the aliasing using index aliases also preserves the ability to combine persistent indices with relative indices without creating holes in a relative index map.

136 Method and apparatus for managing a dynamic alias page table US10262056 2002-09-30 US20040064672A1 2004-04-01 Matthew David Fleming; Mark Douglass Rogers
A method and apparatus for managing a dynamic alias page table are provided. With the apparatus and method, alias page table entries are added to an alias page table dynamically by determining if the alias page table has space for the entry and, if so, the entry describing the virtual address to physical address mapping is added to the alias page table and a successful completion is returned to the virtual memory manager. If the alias page table does not have space for the entry, a new page is used to map the next virtual page of the alias page table. This page must be marked as a fixed page if it not so marked already. This page is pinned in the software page frame table, and the hardware page table entry for this page is also pinned.

PURPOSE: A method for generating a subquery for a global query in a multi-database system, is provided to obtain data of desired through a query result transmitted from a subquery hereafter, by perfectly reflecting data demanded by the global query on every subquery without loss. CONSTITUTION: A method for generating a subquery for a global query in a multi-database system, connected through many local databases and networks, comprises the steps as follows. In a first step, table information in a from-passage from a parsing result of the global query is added to a global table list, projection information in a select-passage of the global query is added to a projection list, and then whether a where-passage exists in the global query is confirmed. In a second step, when a where-passage exists in the first step, table information having the where-passage is added to the global table list, and then join-field is added to a selection list. In a third step, when a where-passage doesn't exist in the first step, join field is added to the selection list. In a fourth step, whether an alias in the selection is coinciding with an alias in the global table is confirmed. In a fifth step, local data information corresponding to an alias and field information in the projection list is searched in mapping information only in case of coincidence in the fourth step, and the alias and field information in the projection list are added to a select and from-passage corresponding to the searched area database.
