| PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the strength and ability to withstand load of a gate column by filling the inside of a frame tensioned between two supports with a core material consisting of a foamed resin and applying exterior finish materials consisting of a foamed resin on outer side. SOLUTION: A gate column 1 has a frame made of wire-netting 7 as a connecting member between right and left supports 5a, 5b consisting of an aluminum sections, a core material 8 consisting of a high foamed polystyrene form is provided in the frame, and a resin layer consisting of a low foam polystyrene form covering the whole of frame is formed outside the frame thereby constituting an exterior finish material 9. Since the whole load of the gate column 1 is supported by a frame consisting of the supports 5a, 5b, and a coupling material, the performance to withstand load is improved and the strength of the gate column is increased. As a result, foaming multiplication of the low foam resin layer constituting the exterior finish material 9 conventionally bore the load can be increased. In addition, switch boxes for a gate light 2 and a interphone 3 can be installed by utilizing the coupling material constituting the frame, so that the installation and positioning can be performed more easily.
