1. A trash receptacle comprising: a. a container for receiving trash, said container having front and back walls, end walls, and a bottom wall; b. a cover pivotally secured to said container; c. support means for said container adapted to be connected to a surface for supporting said container; d. said support means including a bottom portion which extends outwardly to support said container; e. hinge means adjacent the outer extremity of said bottom portion and connected adjacent the forward end of said bottom wall of said container for pivoting said container forwardly and downwardly; f. latch means for retaining said container in an upright trash receiving position on said support; g. said latch means including hook means secured to said container back wall; h. there being an opening in said support means opposite said back wall for receiving said hook means therethrough; i. spring loaded plunger means extending adjacent said support means and having a surface engageable by said hook means to retain said container in a trash receiving position; j. said plunger means including an operating portion extending through an opening in said support means and generally towards said container whereby said plunger may be moved against the tension in saiD spring to disengage said surface from said hook means to enable said receptacle to be pivoted about said hinge means for emptying thereof; and k. said support means including a framework for at least partial recess of said container into a wall surface, and wherein said operating portion extends adjacent part of said framework to aid in concealing said operating tab.
