| 摘要 | The system of passenger accommodation for a vehicle such as a railway coach uses a collector construction with supporting surfaces constructed to allow each passenger to occupy a reclining position. The supporting surfaces are in tiers, each tier consisting of two frames permitting the occupants to lie head to foot. Each frame is shaped to match the shape of the body, with sloping ends and curved central parts. These frames are supported between vertical walls each end, fitting into retaining members which permit easy removal and replacement. One end of a stack can be adjacent to a carriage wall, and the other end adjacent to sliding doors, communicating with a corridor containing seats. The stacks themselves are separated by aisles and ladders are used for access to the upper frames. The angle of slope of the portions of the frames forming the supporting surfaces can be varied by suitable adjusting devices. | ||||||
