摘要	PURPOSE: To facilitate a conversion of a seat to a bed by raising a seat to a specified height every one unit of seat along the arrangement direction and expanding so as to from an upper stage bed and also expanding the other seat at that site so as to form a lower stage bed in a multiple rows of car seats. CONSTITUTION: In passenger cars such as buses and trains in which a plurality of seats are disposed on the right and left sides in two rows, each including two seats, odd numbers of seats are made liftable upward by the operation of a fluid pressure cylinder, and its lifting operation is guided along a sledge installed vertically on both sides of the seat. Then the raised seat expanded rearward so as to position a seat head member on a safety pillar. In addition, foot rest parts 5 and 6 are also positioned on the same plane so as to support them on the safety pillar. Thus the raised seat is assembled as an upper stage bed. On the other hand, seats indicated by even numbers are expanded and supported at site in the same manner as stated above so as to assemble them as a lower stage bed. COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO
