摘要 PURPOSE:To machine an involute curved surface with a high degree of accuracy, by utilizing the principle of involute curve creation itself. CONSTITUTION:When a motor 11 is reciprocatingly rotated, one of leaf springs 12, 13 winds around a small diameter section of a circumferential surface body 6, and at the same time, the other of the springs unwinds so that the flat surface section 5 of a frame plate 2 is made into rolling contact with the circumferential surface 7 of the circumferential body 6 without coming off and sliding. In other words, the frame plate 12 swings while rolling around the circumferential surface 6. Therefore, a tool 1 moves while it depicts an involute locus, and therefore, an involute-curved surface is machined with a high degree of accuracy. Further, with the use of a grindstone as the tool 1, the machining time may be shortened.
