摘要	PURPOSE: To form a film which may be transformed to glass or the like by applying a coating material obtd. by polycondensation of a specific silicon compd. on a substrate, then irradiating the prescribed coated area with heat energy or the like after drying, then removing the coating material of the uncured portion. CONSTITUTION: The coating material is prepd. by polycondensating the silicon compd. of which 25 to 100 mol.% (based on a monomer compd.) of the entire part is expressed by formula I (R' denotes a group which is stable to hydrolysis and is polymerizable by heat and irradiation and R 2 denotes an OH group or easily hydrolyzable group). The parts obtd. by applying such coating material on the substrate are predried and thermal and/or radiation energy is then applied only to the predetermined area of the coating material to cure the coating material. The uncured coating material portion is then removed, by which the material having the structured coating transformable to glass or ceramics is produced. COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO
